The Hotel Nacional de Cuba (pictured top right), is a historic hotel in Havana that opened in 1930. Located on the sea front of the Vedado district, it stands on Taganana Hill, offering commanding views of the sea and the city.

Casas particulares are private accommodations or private homestays in Cuba, very similar to a bed and breakfast, although it can also take the form of a vacation rental. These can be a great way to experience the local Cuban culture.
